happy birthday to tom

So I'm in Columbus now and I kinda like it! The weather is waaaaaaay nicer than in Texas (although it somehow doesn't feel like school's out without triple digit temps...) and there are a lot of interesting places for me to explore up here! Tom and I drove straight through a week ago Sunday and that was an interesting ride. Winston proceeded to disregard the partition we put up between the front and back seats and just popped on over anytime he wanted to say hi... or eat our snacks.

We ended up getting into town early morning, 4AM, on Monday which was Tom's 25th birthday! So we went and say Iron Man 3 (in 3d AND imax), it was a lot of RDJ if you ask me. Then tried out one of Columbus' staples, the Thurman Cafe. We ordered the one, the only, The Thurmanator, and I cringed when it came out. I mean there was just SO MUCH FOOD. It almost made you feel sick. But we split it (and I only could eat half of that half!) and it was delicious! Then we topped off the night with some ice cream from Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams which is right down the street from Tom's apartment (dangerous)!

I spent the rest of the week relaxing now that finals are over and taking walks with Winston. I'm waiting for my security clearance to go through so I can start work!

DBC: new book

I am so jumping on the bandwagon here (or jumping back on I guess) and the new book club book is Dan Brown's Inferno! I really enjoyed all of Brown's other books so this one should hopefully be just as good!

Oh my oh my oh my I cannot wait to see Gatsby! I'll be leaving this weekend for Columbus but between packing and cleaning I am crossing my fingers that I can sneak in a viewing of Gatsby! Oh and by the way... I'm done with finals (!!!) so now it's just a waiting game for the grades. But hey Gatsbys out so it's all good!

BBL: Paint a Canvas

Another part of last weekend I had a surprise for mom, we went to 'Painting with a Twist' where you bring some wine and snacks and try to paint a picture! We were painting the Eiffel Tower (which mom and I saw together in 2010) and they both turned out great! Well we thought so... It also crossed off #23 on my Birthday Bucket List is such a fun way!

Mind: I've been baking to keep my mind clear. Banana bread, chocolate chip cookies, muffins, and blueberry pancakes. Okay maybe the pancakes aren't baking but still. My neighbors really like me since they've gotten a big basket.

Body: Yogurt has always been a touchy thing for me. Sometimes I crave it and then other times the feel of it weirds me out and kind grosses me out too. But these I can handle! 100 calories, raspberry greek yogurt with chocolate in it? Gimmie gimme! Perfect desert!

Spirit: This hilarious blog (The Mean Girls of European History) kept my spirits up while studying. I might have read it all in one sitting and by might I mean laughed-out-loud-realized-how-much-a-nerd-I-am-and-wished-these-girls-kept-blogging

The last week of exams... soon (so soon) I will be done with my second year of law school... so soon.... I've rounded up some motivation to keep you (and me) going through the week. I've got an exam tonight, wish me luck!
